Comprehensive Musicianship through Performance(CMP) is a lesson planning strategy that emphasizes a complete understanding of a piece of music. The theory, history, purpose, and language of the music is examined by both the teacher and the ensemble. Check out a synopsis of the CMP approach here.

Nearly all of my CMP plans are free. I only ask that you contribute to the plans by sharing assessments, journals, analyses, videos, or any other media you found useful while teaching with these plans. These items are shared on a Google Jamboard, called the "Resource Hub" so that all teachers may collaborate and access the materials, free of charge.
